A week at Kellogg

July 3, 2013 – A week at Kellogg

It’s been a week since classes started. Working on my start-up while doing an MBA is harder than I anticipated. There are endless readings, which I cannot finish for each class, and big challenges in English communication, both in the class and in group meetings.

Yesterday, when I got home after long hours of a group meeting, a critical issue with ChattingCat presented itself. I felt like I was at 99.8% capacity. If something else happens, I was about to collapse.

One thing I keep reminding myself, which I recently heard from a professor at Kellogg, is that if the challenge doesn’t kill you, it only makes you stronger.

Another day is passing by. I’m barely surviving. I’m barely getting an inch stronger.

Your prof is paraphrasing Nietzsche: ” Was Nicht umbricht, was macht starker” ( What doesn’t destroy me makes me stronger.) The first couple of weeks in a new school/living environment are disorienting and stressful. Thats how it was when I moved to Seattle. Hopefully you have a long 4th of July weekend to catch your breath. Take care and stay in touch
